An elderly British man suffered a heart attack died after an ambulance crew lost the keys to their vehicle.

The 87-year-old was at a golf course in central England when he suffered the heart attack.

The crew treated him on the spot but was unable to transport him to a hospital because they had misplaced the keys to the ambulance, reports the BBC.

Despite receiving “advanced life support,” the senior died.

Details of the incident were revealed in a report by the British National Health Service, the body which oversees health care in the UK.
